Plant illumination has long been popular in Japan and Korea while has also been concerned in China. With the increased influence of LED plant growth lights, China's market has entered a period of explosion. At the twenty-third Photonics Festival in Taiwan, botanical factories exhibited grow lights, hydroponics facilities, detection and environmental protection and energy saving systems for echoing the trend of green energy economy and climate change. It's quite eye-catching.
LED grow lights is a kind of lamp that uses LED (light-emitting diode) as light source and replaces sunlight to provide growth and development environment for plant. Using red and blue light source, the most sensitive wavelength for plant, LED grow lights can promote the differentiation of multiple lateral branches and buds during the growth of plants, accelerate the growth of roots, stems and leaves, and accelerate the synthesis of plant carbohydrates and vitamins, thus shortening the growth cycle.
Each wavelength of light has different effects on photosynthesis of plant. 400 ~ 520nm (blue) and 610 ~ 720nm (red) contribute the most to photosynthesis, while 520 ~ 610nm (green) has a very low rate of effect on the growth of plants; the absorption rate of light between 720-1000nm (red) in plants is also not high. In the concept of academic, grow lights are made into three forms which are red and blue combination, full blue, and full red to cover the wavelength range required for photosynthesis of plant.
